I have never been one to keep everyone up to speed with my everyday events, but now that I will be living in Romania for two years I am excited to share with everyone all of my adventures, high and low points of being a Peace Corps volunteer. Although I have only been in Romania for a little 3 months it feels like I’ve been here for double that time. In the short time, I learned basic Romanian to half communicate 🙂 (proudly passed the exam), leaned new culture etiquette, washed my clothes by hand, gave a speech in Romanian and English at the US Ambassador’s house, worked on an English Summer Camp with two other Peace Corps volunteers and Romanian counterpart, learned how to dance 3 Romanian traditional dances that last about ten minutes each—videos to come, clogged my host family’s sink, tasted all types of cheeses at the local market, attended a Romanian Orthodox ceremony, went on a 12 hour hike at Bucagi Mountains and finally settle in my small town of Novaci t0 begin my two year service in the Peace Corps.
My blog will be bilingual and if I’m lucky and study hard maybe multilingual. Enjoy the pictures, videos, poems and all of the other random stuff I post. In time this will all become part of my past. Live the moment, it doesn’t last forever.

I am looking forward to learning of all your adventures while in the peace corp. GOOD LUCK!
It will be nice to have a place to go back and reflect on the journey. Looking forward to reading about your adventures!
So… You’ll stay with us just 2 years… 😦
We will miss you so much, Andrea!
I will miss you all too, but I’ll still be here for another 1.5 years. So lets make the best of it 🙂
